Suzano is concerned and committed to ensuring your privacy and the protection of your personal data and that of all those who have any kind of relationship with us, even indirectly, and it is thus committed to performing personal information processing activities responsibly and in compliance with applicable personal data protection laws. 

Accordingly, this Privacy and Personal Data Protection Notice to you, the “Data Subjects”, formalizes our commitment to transparency, so that you can simply, clearly and objectively understand which personal information and purposes are involved in the processing activities and whether such information is shared with third parties.

The Data Subjects involved belong directly and/or indirectly to the staff of the respective “Customers, Partners, Third-party Stakeholders, Associations, among other Suzano audiences, referred to as Stakeholders or “B2B – Business to Business”, located in Brazilian or foreign territory”.

  1. What are personal data?

In the context of this Privacy and Personal Data Protection Notice, personal data or personal information means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural (physical) person, including sensitive personal data (racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion, membership in a trade union or religious, philosophical or political organization, data concerning health or sex life, genetic or biometric data).

The personal information processed below is limited to the information necessary to fulfill the activities and purposes outlined in item 3.

  • Corporate E-mail Address;
  • Requester’s Name;
  • Position;
  • Corporate Land Line Phone;
  • Corporate Cell Phone;
  • Country;
  • State;
  • City.
  1. What is the purpose of the personal data processing in this process?

Suzano processes the aforementioned personal information solely and exclusively for the purpose of meeting requests and/or providing clarifications to Stakeholders about Fluff products or market, and the personal data processing involves, but is not limited to, the following activities:

  • Scheduling a meeting with the team of experts;
  • Communication and/or relations with Stakeholders;
  • Sending information about products and news in the sanitary pad market;
  • Business contact management;
  • Sending Newsletters about initiatives, actions, results, etc.;
  • Sending invitations to events – live and/or online;
  • Sending Surveys in general.

  1. Can personal data be shared after having been collected?

In connection with the activities described above, Suzano may eventually make available or share information, including personal data, with other companies of the Suzano Group or internal areas, as well as with partner companies contracted for the specific and exclusive purpose of executing the service agreement with Suzano, which will have access to personal information when necessary, and this access will be limited to the personal information necessary for the purpose for which access was granted.

Please be advised that some of the Suzano Group companies and service providers with which we share your information may be located outside of Brazil. If your Data are transferred to another country, Suzano will take steps to ensure that your personal information continues to be protected and subject to applicable laws in the countries to which it has been sent.

Thus, the provision or sharing of personal information will always be linked to the purpose, so that no authorization will be extended for other purposes not previously specified.

  1. How long will my personal data be stored?

The personal information will be retained for the time necessary to achieve the processing purposes laid out above, in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations, as well Suzano’s internal guidelines.

  1. What are my rights as a Personal Data Subject?

These are your rights:

  • To confirm the existence of personal data processing;
  • To know which personal data is being processed and have access thereto;
  • To correct incomplete or outdated personal data;
  • To understand the reasons for processing;
  • To be informed about the origin of personal data;
  • To be informed about those responsible for data processing;
  • In some cases, to be opposed to certain types of processing;
  • In some cases, to request anonymization, blocking or deletion of personal data that may be processed excessively, unnecessarily, or in breach of personal data protection legislation.

Requests related to the rights listed above will be evaluated by the Privacy and Personal Data Protection area to analyze the possibility of meeting them. It warrants emphasis that the aforementioned rights are not absolute rights, so there is a need for analysis.
