Suzano is concerned and committed to ensuring your privacy and the protection of your personal data and that of all those who have any kind of relationship with us, even indirectly, and it is thus committed to performing personal information processing activities responsibly and in compliance with applicable personal data protection laws.
Accordingly, this Privacy and Personal Data Protection Notice to you, the “Data Subjects”, formalizes our commitment to transparency, so that you can simply, clearly and objectively understand which personal information and purposes are involved in the processing activities and whether such information is shared with third parties.
The Data Subjects involved in this e-mail marketing process belong directly and/or indirectly to the staff of the respective “Customers, Partners, Third-party Stakeholders, Associations, among other Suzano audiences, referred to as Stakeholders or “B2B – Business to Business”, located in Brazilian or foreign territory”.
- What are personal data?
In the context of this Privacy and Personal Data Protection Notice, personal data or personal information means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural (physical) person, including sensitive personal data (racial or ethnic origin, religious belief, political opinion, membership in a trade union or religious, philosophical or political organization, data concerning health or sex life, genetic or biometric data).
- Which personal data will be processed?
The personal information processed below is limited to the information necessary to fulfill the activities and purposes outlined in item 3.

- Corporate E-mail Address;
- Commercial Representative Name:
- Corporate Land Line Phone;
- Corporate Cell Phone;
- Position;
- State/City;
- Country.
It is important to clarify that the personal information was provided in commercial and/or prospecting activities between Suzano and Stakeholders.
- What is the purpose of the personal data processing in this process?
Suzano processes the aforementioned personal information solely and exclusively for the purpose of communication and/or relationships with Stakeholders, and the personal data processing involves, but is not limited to, the following activities:
- Sending e-mails with Suzano information, such as sustainability targets, the annual report, ESG, awards and other information;
- Sending e-mails with news about the product, such as application cases and new certifications;
- Sending educational e-mails about products and benefits;
- Sending e-mails related to announcements about changes in product specifications or documentation and issues related to company/factory operations;
- Sending institutional newsletters.
- Can personal data be shared after having been collected?
In connection with the activities described above, Suzano may eventually make available or share information, including personal data, with other Suzano areas and/or suppliers related to the development of the activities described above, such as technical specialists able to provide the necessary information regarding products, so that no authorization will be extended to access personal information on a personal basis.
Such sharing or availability will only occur when necessary and such access will be limited to the personal information necessary for the purpose for which the access was granted.
Due to the e-mail marketing activity, the partner company MAILCHIMP, authorized for the specific and exclusive purpose of executing the service agreement with Suzano, will have access to the personal information.
- How long will my personal data be stored?
The personal information will be retained for the time necessary to achieve the processing purposes laid out above, in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations, as well Suzano’s internal guidelines.
- What are my rights as a Personal Data Subject?
These are your rights:
- To confirm the existence of personal data processing;
- To know which personal data is being processed and have access thereto;
- To correct incomplete or outdated personal data;
- To understand the reasons for processing;
- To revoke consent, if given;
- To be informed about the origin of personal data;
- To be informed about those responsible for data processing;
- In some cases, to be opposed to certain types of processing;
- In some cases, to request anonymization, blocking or deletion of personal data that may be processed excessively, unnecessarily, or in breach of personal data protection legislation.
Requests related to the rights listed above will be evaluated by the Privacy and Personal Data Protection Area to analyze the possibility of meeting them. It warrants emphasis that the aforementioned rights are not absolute rights, so there is a need for analysis.
